And The Brainchild is Born

The Brainchild - Click to Enlarge

Description:
The Brainchild is art-on-paper, and shows a mindmap in the shape of a multipolar neurone, and an image of a sperm entering an ovum made with eraser dust. This piece of magnificent artwork is the work of Chewxy, Shyuing and James.

History:
Born in the 1780s, Master Artist Chewxycasso… scratch that. This was actually a result of a brainstorming session with Shyuing and James. I had prepared the brainstorm results into a mindmap, when James discovered the delights of my eraser. You see… it leaves no dust, and it’s a piece of rubber that can be made into any shape. James, being new to this technological improvement of an eraser, decided to make it the shape of the sperm for reasons only known to himself. He then decided to stick it on to the paper where the mindmap was drawn. His girlfriend, Ka Men, then decided that the mindmap itself looked like a neurone, and drew a circle over the main topic of the mindmap to make the main topic of the mindmap the nucleus of an ovum. Hence, it’s called the brainchild. :D

Shyuing thinks I am Greek because of this. But hey.. it’s post modern!

Unfortunately, the content of the brainstorming is to be kept private and confidential, but it certainly has got something to do with my MSN nickname lately. Text on the image has been blurred and some lines have been artificially darkened on Photoshop.
So, what do the local art patrons think of this?

Rubber sperm? Someone must’ve gone through one hell of a vasectomy.

It’s the outside impression that counts. Inside a women’s organ doesn’t stimulate anything.

As a med student, I am mortified at the tri-branched shape of your ‘multipolar neurone’. Is that a cholinergic or adrenergic neurone, by the way?

[...] Rubber Sperm Becomes Interesting As Well I started making more realistic rubber sperms during macro-economics exam. This proves that I have been erasing a lot during my exam [...]

It’s pretty plain English to me. Cholinergic = neuron which uses acetylcholine as its neurotransmitter. Adrenergic = neuron which uses noradrenaline as its neurotransmitter. There are further subdivisions, but I’d rather not make things more complicated :p

Sounds Irish/Gaelic to me. Oh btw, Liam Neeson had the weirdest Irish accent when he did Michael Collins. So did that Severus Snape guy… Alan something

Oh yeah yeah Michael Collins was a good film. Too bad, he died in the end as he agreed to the partition of Eireann into North and South. Can’t blame him for trying his best, though.
