A Malay bus driver was watching a Chinese soap opera (Oddly named Sinaran Mentari Senja) when driving. And I got scolded by the bus driver today for taking pictures using my cellphone on the bus.
Which do you find more interesting:
- A Malay man watching a Chinese soap opera
- A bus driver watching TV while actively driving, endangering the lives of his passengers
- A passenger getting scolded for trying to take photo of the interesting scene
Note: Nope, I am not highlighting any race issues. I just find a Malay watching man watching a Chinese soap opera interesting, because… even I don’t watch Chinese soap operas (and I’m chinese myself). And since Chinese (Mandarin) is a minority language in Malaysia, not many Malays would understand it, so I find it extremely fascinating.
The Chinese soap opera has this listed title: Sinaran Mentari Senja, and it’s synopsis listed is: Sebuah drama bersiri Mandarin yang menarik khusus untuk tontonan anda. (English translation: An interesting Chinese serial drama specially for your viewing)
Riiiight. That sounds absolutely interesting. Gosh, I must hop on and watch it straight away!
So tell me… which do you find more interesting?
Cool?

What a nice layout you have. All words in one thin column.
Another experiment in social engineering I guess.
er.. that would mean that my theme broke. You’re not online? And no, it’s not an attempt at social engineering. If I want to socially engineer humans, I’d ask you and others to help out, create floods, tornadoes etc. External forces shape society better than human forces. Johor was a good one. Who do I thank for that? And Indonesia too
bus driver was prolly bored i guess =)
Your theme is broken!?
What a fine bunch of friends and blog readers you have. They knew your theme broke and yet kept quiet.
And it seemed that i’ve to hit submit twice to get it work.
You should know that I was looking while he was fixing his blog. It isn’t broken in Opera, it isn’t broken in Firefox and it isn’t broken in Internet Explorer. You get the thin column issue if you view the blog in a small window or low resolution - which he is actually well aware of, I believe.
You guys are really off topic.. the topic of my blog is which is more interesting.
Enki: I know who you are finally!!! Nyahahaha… caught you on my web stats.
Abel: Yeah, he probably was bored, but endangering the lives of his passengers? Wow… great tradeoff there.
Obviously, enki and I find that debating over your blog theme’s broken state is by far the MOST interesting.
Chewxy’s Uncertainty Principle states any two users cannot a)determine the state of the blog theme’s brokenness and b)follow the discussion; at the same time… hmm.. this makes the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle look extremely easy right now
cfgt: That explains it, I dont usually maximize the browser while browsing. What a wasteful theme your friend has.
chewxy: Here’s some comment about the post so that you dont get all worked up. I think the bus driver is most interesting as he was able to:
a. drive
b. watch tv
c. be aware that some dude is taking pictures at his back
all at the same time, which certainly contradicts your Uncertainty Principle.
Bus drivers are skilful.
and dangerous.
And make you feel like you are still an L driver.
A Malay bus driver was watching a Chinese soap opera is as equally peculiar as a Chinese dude practicing Silat (found that on a magazine somewhere). Perhaps what is similarly strange in all of us is our obsession with Japanese culture and just about anything that originated from Japan, the same mofos who’s in ur base killin’ ur doodz during WWII.
Really? Send me that picture! I collect peculiar stuff
Found it somewhere on a magazine called Seni Beladiri. Unfortunately, all the mags stays with my elder bro in Terengganu. I only get to see it when he gets back home during the holidays or semester break (he’ll bring the mags back along with him when he’s leaving for T’ganu). Trust me, he gonna need tons of mags like HWM and Seni Beladiri to keep his sanity in a state where KFC and Pizza Hut sticks close to each other and there are no shopping malls. And they say Sabah and Sarawak are ‘backwater’. WTF?
PS: My elder bro took Marine Biology in KUSTEM BTW, and he gets to do an autopsy on a dead shark. Needless to say, he gets to operate on tons of cool things.
Excuse, and what you think concerning forthcoming elections?
