In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been actively commenting or replying to comments on my blog. The reason is this - my finals are really round the corner, so I have to spend some time proving that the null hypothesis is null and void (if you didn’t understand it, it means I’m studying for my Statistics and Law exam).
So, here are the things you can do on my blog (and on other people’s blogs) while the hiatus is in place.
- Comment in my blog. As some of you already know, I do have self-imposed minimum comment count before I blog a new entry. These posts have not enough comments:
- Vote in my polls to the right of my blog (on the University choices. UniMelb is leading now)
- Promote my blog in your blog (you never know if I might just pop a thousand dollars in your bank account)
- Subscribe to my blog. It’ll make you feel a lot better.
Meanwhile, those of you fishing for interesting links in my blog, you won’t be disappointed. Here are some interesting links:
- Aesthetics + Economics
Aesthetics + Economics is a blog about fashion and economics. It’s quite an interesting read (though to me, it was all goobledegook to me). Not really my thing, but hey.. at least it’s different. I found it through Google. Anyone care to guess why I went googling for something like that? - We Feel Fine and Moodgrapher
These two sites are emotion aggregators. What they do is that they scour the Internet and look for pieces of emotions left behind on blogs, and on livejournal. It’s good to know that from We Feel Fine, Singapore is really the most depressed cities in the world (most bloggers from Singapore has a depressed/sad mood). Well, time to laugh.. nyahahahahahha… mainly because Singapore is such a depressed nation. - History’s 100 Most Influential People, As Selected by the Japanese
Now… this list is interesting. Elvis ranks higher than Galileo (70 and 71 respectively). Liu Bei, Emperor of Shu and Cao Cao, the great war strategist and general from Wei, during the Three Kingdoms Period is also listed - not too surprising, considering that the Japanese study the Romance of the Three Kingdoms in their elementary schools. Perhaps the most WTF thing is Napoleon, Jean (Joan) of Arc, Anne Frank and… Shakespeare. [Credit goes to Tyler Cowen of Marginal Revolution] - Introduction to Economic Analysis
This is the world’s first open source text book. Billed as “The Open Source Introduction to Microeconomics”, this book was written by R. Preston McAfee. It’skindavery heavy on the math, so do watch it. How did I find this? I was looking up resources on auctions when I found this. And since it has like only a million hits (even my site has more hits a year than that), so I decided to pimp it. Besides, it’s a good book to refer to on the math part. Because I simply don’t bother remembering formulas. lol.
Finally, upcoming posts you can wait for on Antworten zum Universum-
- Who are my readers? (hint: they are mostly p–v–ts; both “–” have the same series of 2 letters)
- An answer to Jane Galt’s Essay Question of the Day (ayjk wanted to read my reply)
- A very looong promised article on Cancer and Hair Loss (I promised this article to at least 3-4 people already.. but can’t seem to perfect the article. It’s been on the pending list for over a year.)
- What my desk really looks like when I’m studying (it’s worse than in the previous posts)
- More rants on why exams should be banned. (I’ve been only sleeping a few ghastly hours daily)
- Donate some money to me, and comment in my blog!
Cool?

I’ve done 1,2 and 3 but i won’t do 4. So sue me. LOL…
Oh yes, you are a neighbor, and owe me a duty of care to comment in my blog. Using the Atkins Test from Donaghue vs Stevenson, I can sue you for being negligent. So there.
Nyaahhahahahahahahaaaa
Atkins??? Isn’t that a diet plan? ROFLMAO
NO.
Subscribe to MY blog!
Aoshi: Lord Atkin was the person who formulated the neighbor test (in Donaghue vs Stevenson). A neighbor is someone closely affected by my actions (or inaction). Since my emotional wellbeing is closely affected by whether you comment in my blog or not, I am your neighbor, and you owe me a duty of care (Love thy neighbor), so as a duty of care, you should comment in my blog
Hangmen: It was your blog address that got you stuck in the spam filter. Akismet thinks your blog is a spam blog. Afterall, /b/ content are spam, and hardly “superior content”
(T_T) Akismet is such a Nazi.
Interesting. The 4 on the list are been there, done that to me.
I must be hella boring person.
Hangmen: Yes. lol. Despite my approving your comments countless of times, Akismet still thinks you are spam
cfgt: Agreed. Therefore, we can assume that my blog is almost as boring as yours.
Yay! We have boring blogs. But yours is more popular. T_T
Agreed
But this is a temporary hiatus. My readership dropped by half!!!
chewxy:Then you should comment in my blog as well.
