My Readers Are Perverts

Really. They are. This includes you. And I do have some backings: Statistics.

I’m sometimes quite amused with my readers. You see, we all know statistics tell a story. As a result, I’ve installed all sorts of statistics gathering stuff on my blog, just to amuse myself with what my readers do. I use conventional statistics programs like StatCounter and my server-based Awstats. I also use more advanced tools like Google Analytics and Reinvigorate. The latter has really good features like trendlines and etc (and a very friendly CEO to boot). Also, I used stuff like CrazyEgg to monitor what my readers click on my blog.

As such, I’m able to constantly improve on the content of my blog, because I know what readers like to read (page depth in my blog is relatively high). With that, I also stumble on some pretty interesting stuff - such as that my readers are perverts.

Long before my old blog was hacked and taken down, I had a CrazyEgg script installed to test for some miscellaneous thematic error that might appear in my blog, and also to track the clicks of my visitors. Then I happened to chance upon this:

Perverse Readers

Yellow and red hotspots are spots that are clicked more often in relation to the other spots that visitors click on. Why would anyone click on the picture? Two simple reasons -

  1. I often have larger pictures linked, and readers like you would have to click on the picture to get a larger view of it.
  2. The picture is this (click to enlarge):
    Valkyrie Crotch

LOL.. so you see now why and where my readers mostly click? What kind of visitors do you get?

I also have access to search statistics - i.e what people searched to get to my blog. This screenshot was taken yesterday morning:

Bad Search Statistics

In 21 searches, 4 were sex-related searches (Sex with Elanor, Faith Stay Knight and Sex Barrier To Entry). That’s about 20%. And it was yesterday morning alone (around 7 am)

Given that Elanor is a common misspelling of Eleanor, I’m pretty sure they were not looking for my Post-April’s Fools Day Joke, so don’t worry, Elanor, they’re not stalking you (actually, they are - look below, but anyways, those 2 IPs checked out to be American IPs).

And as for Faith Stay Knight - that was a user contributed content - Hangmen had commented in my Death Note Review, using those words.

I don’t want to know what the searcher was thinking about when he/she searched for “Sex Barrier to Entry”… In fact, I shudder to find out.

More disheartening of course, would be to check my Awstats for archived search statistics (which shows you the sad state of humans). For the month of March 2007 -

  • 4 searches for “Emma Watson pussy”.
I am pretty sure they were not looking for Emma Watson’s cat. Oh, c’mon… she’s underaged, for goodness sake!
(The searchers were lead to my Bond Girls List)
  • 2 searches for “Melina’s pussy”
Also, nothing related to cats, I’m pretty sure.
(The searchers were lead to my Bond Girls List again)
  • 2 searches for “top ten girls pussy” and “ten age girl pussy” each
Again, nothing to do with cats… :(
(The searchers were lead to my Bond Girls List…)
  • 1 search for “faith stay night porn”
Ah… some people looking for porn on my site :(
(The search ended in my Death Note Review)
  • 1 search for “girls playing with a speculum”, “nice girl playing with speculum” and “playing with a speculum” each
I suppose a speculum would do as a wonderful sex toy (and tool for gynaecologists to use, but that’s secondary)
(The searchers ended up looking at the mess on My Desk)

Then there were the stalkers.

  • 24 Andrew and Syeon related search
  • 22 Joe Jer and Zabrina related search
  • 16 Nick Khaw related search.
  • 11 Elanor Tan related search.
  • 4 Sharina related search (I assume they were looking for this Sharina)
  • 3 ayjk related search
  • 2 Princess Xingyi related search (which, btw, Princess dear, you should start to hide your blog, since those 2 searches were for your blog)
  • 1 Roy Vimalan related search

And these are the only the tip of naughty searches made. Roughly 10% of my readers monthly are searching for sex-related terms. That means there are about 400 unique visitors (according to Awstats) who come here just for some sexual craving each month. Ew.

Pervs.

So tell me, what kind of visitors do you get?
