More random stuff:
- Audrey Hepburn
I feel that Audrey Hepburn is a great actress. Having recently watched Roman Holiday and rewatched Breakfast, I feel that today’s actresses cannot really compare up to her. She nailed the geeky/mischievous princess role so well that it puts Anne Hathaway (who got her role in Princess Diaries thanks to her klutziness) to shame. - Rita Hayworth
Another actress from the past that I like watching is Rita Hayworth. Her Lady from Shanghai is great acting, though some people say Gilda is better. I haven’t watched Gilda, so I dunno. Orson Welles is the only thing that spoilt Lady from Shanghai. That man talks too much. If he were in real life, he’d be committed to Arkham Asylum for muttering to himself one time too many - Old Movies
As for why I am watching old shows (and kinda liking them too) – I dunno. - Black and White Old Movies
Watching too many black and white movies causes the world to look black and white too. I look at something red, and I mentally tell myself this is a shade of red, not gray. - Cinematic Effects
Steam and smoke are really really great cinematic effects. Mirrors too. - Wonder Woman
They drew Wonder Woman really well in Justice League the animated series – much better than other female characters like Hawkgirl or Black Canary. I wonder why. She is also drawn quite tall (almost Supes’ height). I like. - On Being the Most Hated Guy in a Community
How does it feel being the most hated guy in a community? Quite interesting actually. For a while, everything is a blur. After some deep thought about it, you realize it doesn’t matter, as nothing impedes me. I do what I do best, and I am who I am. There is no changing that for anyone. - Economics #1
Surprisingly, I found that Johnleemk reads and comments in the Freakonomics blog as well. Surprising. Most surprising. That man is a frequent contributor to Wikipedia (read any article in relation to Malaysia, and you’d find his name there), and his blog has some interesting stuff to read too. - Economics #2
Speaking of economics, I have to agree, it’s one topic that is like drugs. It’s supremely addictive. No wonder Elanor eats and sleeps economics (though I’d like to think she sleeps with me). - Economics #3
I realized this morning in the toilet that Tim Harford writes for FT. No wonder he references to his colleagues a lot in his book. Meanwhile… - Possessions
Packing my stuff(last night and this morning), I realize I have very very few possessions. VERY FEW indeed. (So few that you can count them with your fingers). - Things to do Today:
Pick up someone from the train station at 7 a.m., fix some broken stuff, review some pictures and profiles, plan for upcoming stuff (at least 5 things need to be planned), clean my room, call someone for lunch and hope she makes it and not FFK me, try to get some sleep into this body before something happens, exercise. Stop being emo. Detach. :p - Madness
When thrown into a world of madness, where wild accusations fly everywhere, don’t bother asking “WHY THIS SHIT HAPPENS TO ME!”. Just keep a low head, and trudge on.
I see you read John Lee too…interesting character, though he has his head in the clouds too often
I don’t read people whom I argue with over amalgation and assimilation of races, lol.
Nah. It was a friendly argument.
Not necessary most hated. Take it in the chin, move on.
If you search for your name on youtube (XY), you’ll get 2 very interesting results…
