Ekka!

Right, Ekka week is over, and it rained in on Ekka Wednesday. So here are some pictures to do the talking.

Ekka!
Welcome to Ekka 2007!

Ekka in the Morning

A few friends and I decided to go to the Ekka on Ekka Wednesday, and this was how it looked like in the morning. Our first stop was the showbag pavilion. There they basically sell bags full of stuff, ranging from candies to nonsensical items like mohawk wigs (I wanted to get one, but I ended up buying books and handmade chocolate instead)

Then of course, there were the animals that Sathiya wanted to see. And we went to see the nice lil horsies. And other animals of course (it’s a farm fair!) I simply have no idea how the commentator judged the horses (Ooh, it’s a beautiful breed!!)

Of course, then there were the shows and the carnival-like atmosphere. There was even showplanes to boot! Right. Here are the rest of the pics for your viewing pleasure

Haha, land that’s girt by the sea! (TP) But of course its part of the national anthem.

yay! Someone got it! I thought doing the fourekks would be overdoing the subtlety of my annotations. Lol. I have some fourekks pictures

The national anthem is not ‘land girt by sea’, but ‘our home is girt by sea’. Land girt by sea is a wholly Terry Pratchett and Lost Continent thing.
