Lessons on Pigging Out

More pictorial posts, because my readers are mostly illiterate (nah, actually I found my readers spending longer time reading posts with pictures).

So, Amy’s birthday was last week. And we had a celebration in Sizzler, an all-you-can-eat buffet. Which means it’s time for pigging out. Worry about the tummy ache later.

On the way
Melissa, Anon, Alan, Kate and Kelsey – on the way.

So anyways, we got to Sizzler by 5, and were largely berated by the hostess for not properly organizing our dinner. But oh well. Then, of course comes the food (that’s what you’ve been waiting for, no?).

We are all gathered here today
Magic(al)… The gathering….

But first of course, the rest of the gang came (we came in different groups. Suba thought the party was on Saturday instead). Then only came the food.

Since it was an all-you-can-eat buffet + grill, I pigged out. And along the way, I do show my progress with pictures. :D First up, salads.

Salads Much
Mixed Salads

This is acutually my second plate. My first plate had nachos in them. Then came the main serving, which… was indeed too much. I had ordered a 500 gram T-Bone steak with their Diana ~ Red Wine sauce. And yes, 500 grams sound little, but it’s giant sized. Ah.. gluttony

There. The giant slab of meat. 500 grams of protein. I can hear the acids building up in my bones. So I dug into it. And it was most definitely a herculean task doing so.

Call for Help

At this point, I called for help to the table, asking my friends to help me finish it. Unfortunately, they were mostly overwhelmed by their giant dishes too. So I soldiered on with smaller bites while Melissa who’s vegetarian went on for desserts.

You know that it’s getting difficult to finish the food when everyone around the table starts playing with them while waiting for the food in the stomach to be digested.

Food - Smiley Face
Smiley face

Here, a smiley face is created with melon skin, marshmallows, M&Ms, orange peels, and jellybeans. Proves that we all have some difficulty continuing our food consumption.

Of course, in due time, I finished (well mostly) my steak, and so did the others their food. Then it was dessert time for me :D

Now… for the rest of the pics, because I am feeling extremely lazy in narrating

Food... wasted
Food… wasted :( Think of the African Kids.

Tea
Nothing like a cup of hot tea to help digestion.

Just like me swearing off pork after a trip to a Euro deli and having the nicest giant pork knuckles ever, I think I will stay off beef as well now. I’ve had enough of it. Time to turn full vegetarian again?
