Not Funny Anymore

Posted in: Rants n' Rave

Some of you who know me personally would know that I’ve been waiting for my router for roughly 3 weeks already. Error upon error upon error. Error in transaction, error in procuring product, finally did they courier it. I checked the courier tracking site this morning, and discovered that the package was to be delivered today. This was roughly how the wait looked like:

  • 10 a.m: I checked the site, and know that it will reach by noon today, since it left depot at 5 a.m.
  • 12 p.m: I prepare to go out, so I called TNT to check on package arrival time. The lady told me it was from 12 - 2. So I waited a bit more.
  • 2 p.m: I cannot wait anymore (as I needed to go out), so I called TNT up, and the lady informed me that the delivery can take anytime from 9-5 p.m, and it’s okay that I go out.
  • 4 p.m: I went out and came back, and still nothing. I called TNT and a very nice lady called Amber took my call. She gave me the driver number etc to confirm. And I called and everything was confirmed - my package was in the van.
  • 5 p.m: I called TNT again, and they told me they would deliver anywhere from 5 p.m to 6 p.m. I went to take a short nap
  • 9 p.m: I went online to check for my consignment status, and this statement returned - “Status Recorded in Error”.

WHAT????!!! My friends and I were joking about this lameness that they kept delaying my shipment time. But this is not funny anymore. They even got the bloody balls to timestamp the error message with this morning’s time! I checked at 10 a.m and the so called error was bloody non-existant.
TNT Sucks

So, readers, especially those in Australia and Malaysia (since Malaysia too has the same company), please, don’t use TNT, because they screw up often. So what if they’ve got some environment-friendly-courier-service award in Sydney? Who cares? They can’t deliver. And frankly, it’s fucked up.

My advice? Stick to companies like DHL (never failed me), Fed-Ex (never failed me too, but a bit pricey), and UPS. NO TO TNT.

I courier stuff arond Malaysia using my mum’s company. She works for a medical supply company so stuff is guaranteed to arrive at the recipient with no delay.

    Hehehehehehe.
