A thought cloud is a good way to organize data, especially the ones in your head. This is my thought cloud:

Basically what I did was I sat and observed my own thoughts for 10 minutes. Each time I observe a new thought in my head, I write it down. And because my thoughts are recursive, I also tally my thoughts. For example, I think a lot about making my new vodcast (9 times in 10 minutes), while I think less of my emails. I then port the thoughts and my tally into Excel and construct a weighted function for the purpose of sizing the fonts ala tag-cloud style.
The function is weighted so the font size never exceeds 30 and never below 7. I wanted to never make it go below 9, but the visual style won’t be striking. Now, who says math isn’t art. Tell me what you think. Continue reading Thought Cloud
