Chewxy’s Best of 2007

Posted in: This Blog

Taking a leaf from Edmund’s book, here I compile a list of Best-of 2007 list from my site. Most unfortunately, I moved servers in October, and lost most of my on-board statistics. Fortunately, though, I am trained in economics, so I can heuristically predict where the data were in the past. Here’s my top ten most popular post in 2007 (adjusted for time period):

  1. Death Note - An Extensive Review
In this post, I reviewed Death Note the movie. Strangely, this is the top search-based hit on my blog. Plenty of people searched for Death Note movie and ended up on my blog. I wonder why. The last person who commented was a person called Nariko. I don’t suppose she is a skimpily dressed red-headed girl who wields giant swords.
  2. Does Inflation Happen in Hell?
In this post, I postulate the possibility of inflation happening in hell. Strangely, this is number 2. It seems that there are a lot of people afraid of the concept of Hell. :D
  3. Mid-Life Crysis
I reviewed Crysis in this post, and gave it a sound trashing despite giving it a good score. Top search strings include: “How to paint target in Crysis” (average about 30 a day), “Crysis bug” (about 20 a day) and “Kyong undying” (average about 10 a day)
  4. Amazing Race Asia Selection Criteria
I postulate the probable criterias that AXN-Asia uses to choose the Amazing Race Asia contestants. Apparently plenty people wanted to know what were the criteria before the second Amazing Race Asia started.
  5. Economics of Adult Webcam Sites
I discuss the economics (rather poorly) of adult webcam sites. Need I tell you the keywords?
  6. Effects of Alcohol on Gaming
In this post, I talk about the effects of alcohol on gaming. Even if it doesn’t seem to affect a person, it does affect the judgement of a person. A lot of search leads by lots of curious people wondering on the effects of alcohol.
  7. Ideas Ahead of Their Times
Here, I talk about how my friends and I had some ideas ahead of our times. It is the beginning of something new and wonderful. I don’t know why this got to top ten in my list, and it’s strange indeed, since its just a recollection.
  8. Indexed
    Jessica Hagy FTW! ’nuff said.
  9. Shanghai Kiss - A Review
I review Shanghai Kiss, a sweet love story. There simply aren’t enough reviews of Shanghai Kiss out there, and so obviously I get quite a bit of search lead here.
  10. Alien vs Predator: Requiem - A Review
This is the only non-search lead top page of 2007. Most of my traffic to this page comes from YouTube. I reviewed AvP as a facehugged person, and I suppose that’s what brought ‘em in. :D

And here’s a message to you-know-who-you-are who is currently in Prague: If you were working for someone else, you’d have been FIRED already. FIRED. F-I-R-E-D. You get me? Kicked out. Unemployed. No money. Nada. Fired. Boom. But I’m not going to fire you. Yet.
