What I Miss From Australia

It’s not a week home yet, and yet, I do already miss stuff from Australia. Here are the things:

  • TPG!
I miss my 24Mbps internet line! Back here, I have 2Mbps, which is 12 times slower than in Australia. YouTube actually streams before playing over here! T_T (But consider myself lucky, so many people in the world still on 56k)
  • Stable Internet
I forgot how unstable TMNet is. Ugh. Constant disconnects SUCK! If you guys thought you see me online, but I’m not, it’s because of my crappy internet connection, which disconnects and reconnects constantly.
  • Walking to Coles
Over here, I drive. LOL. I can choose to walk, but, ah… the car’s faster. Not really something I miss, but rather, something I miss doing (like a routine not done right). And driving to KL CBD… is tiring.
  • People
Strangely, I miss Amy, Melissa, Tou and gang. Never mind, this means more party when I get back. On a more interesting note, if you guys are reading this, I called Kelsey 2 days back to wish her happy b’day. You guys should call too :D. And backdate a party for her.
  • Red Rock Deli
Danny should know why. I bought 2 bags of RRD for him, and one bag exploded all over my clothes in the luggage. RRD makes the best chips I’ve tasted yet.
  • Water Pressure
There is a drought in Australia, and yet the water pressure is significantly higher than that in Malaysia. Then again, I would pin the lack of water pressure in my house here to the neighbour who installed a mega pump (and consequently cutting water pressure to all the houses surrounding her house)

    BBQ (like Alan’s)?
Or just bring her to a nature ramble.

Coles: You should walk. Better for you nee~.

RRD: Lime & Black Pepper are the best ones. Unhealthy though…

Kelsey: We shall have to do something. Let’s think of something we don’t normally do.

Water: We should have a low-pressure showerhead but we don’t… which is good. I like the one we have. So much better.

People: Who wouldn’t miss me? Damn… duh.

Internet: New housie Tim will be able to connect, yes? Or does anything need to happen first?

    Liss:
RRD is considerably healthier than ALDI home brand, LOL.
And yes, Tim is free to connect.

    Amy:
You should get together with Liss and Tou, and start planning. Kels is returning to Aus with me.

I’ve been to Melbourne, Australia once back in 2004. Three things that I missed:

    1. Good cheese.
    2. Snack Pack.
    3. Actually good comedy shows. Forgot their names, but I do recognize Umbilical Brothers.
    4. Porn sold legally. Well, just for the sake of window shopping, cuz’ we all know porn is free on the Internets.

    Hangmen:
I can’t tell apart Tasty Cheese and normal Cheddar. And I don’t eat junk food (except the occasional chips). Chasers and Summer Heights High is off-season now. Can’t wait for Chaser’s S3.

    Amy:
Yea, you do that. We could go to an island. :D

Ah yes…how I wanted to do unmentionable things to the Maxis headquarters when I compared it to my Eircom connection speed…

Well, representing the Republic I proudly correct you. The first Ikea in Ireland didn’t open in Dublin, it was up there. In Belfast :p
