Ode of Farewell to Normalcy

Posted in: Nerdy Stuff

’twas once when you and I,
Friends through low and high
You were normal,
And I liked you.

When things happened
Between you and I
I harkened,
But closed one eye.

Then you became kinky,
At first, me no likey,
Then I discovered its joy
That’s when you acted coy

But alas,
You turned out to be
BINOMIAL!
Why, oh why!!!

Tried as I did
To approximate you normally,
But your np and n(1-p)
Was far too small.

’tis thus, this farewell.
Beyond this woe,
I shall not dwell
For you were once normal

Or so I thought.
I was wrong once,
But this shall not be forgot,
And with another Normal, I shall dance.

I think cfgt and zybler should know why I rant thus.

And, np and n(1-p) was large enough… to make a decent approximation on the Fat and Good, but not on the Sad dataset.

    Hashie:
LOL. So are you. I’m bored here. I’ll go Balik Pulau to find you.

    Aoshi:
So are you. I wasn’t the paranoid one.

    cfgt:
Yes, I know. But I’ve grown fond of those array names. Seems we’ve got 40k new pieces of data (read RandomName). I’m running the script.
