What A Day - I Rock

Today was a crazy crazy day. Let’s see what happened today:

The night before, I slept at 4 a.m, and woke at 6 a.m. Why? I had a seminar to attend at some faraway place at 9.30 a.m.; and so I had to wake up earlier.

8 a.m., I was in the City for a transit. Stupid bus driver told me that that particular bus number doesn’t go to the place I wanted to go. He told me to go to a different bus stop. And so I did. I crossed the road, and got hailed by a police officer. Who told me that I was jaywalking. But he let me off with a warning (because I told him I was very late, and I was very properly dressed).

Then I got to the 2nd bus stop. No buses went my way. I was frustrated, and called a few friends. They confirmed with me that it was the first bus that went my way, so I went back to the first bus stop.

I was 10 minutes late for the seminar registration.

3.00 p.m, seminar ended, and I came home. On the way, I saw this:

Charlie Chaplin Impersonation

I found it ironic. Because Charlie Chaplin’s characters were a caricature of Hitler. And this guy is impersonating Charlie Chaplin. It’s like… meta-meta-metadata!

Anyways, I went home, and cleaned my room (which arguably, left my room way messier than before).

5 p.m. It was time for a friend’s birthday celebration. Unfortunately, at the very last minute, he cancelled it. Then I received a call from Shyuing. Then I decided to go find her in another city, 3.5 hours train ride away.

Tennis on Train

On the train, some dudes were playing with a tennis ball - chucking it around. The only thing I can think about was Einstein’s special relativity. Talk about being nerdy.

4 hours later, I drove back home. It was a long lonely drive. The only highlight was that there was actually a place called Tanah Merah (Red Soil in Malay). And no, I’m still in Australia.

Long Lonely Drive

Now its 12.31 a.m.. Total hours slept in the last 24 hours: 2. Tired? No. Ming asked me earlier today how many hours I usually sleep. That’s my answer to her :). And I can hear grumbles from my parental units already. But hey, I’m awesome. And I’m humble enough to note that I am very conceited.
Will update with more pictures when my Bluetooth actually stops stuffing up.

I don’t think he’s ever cared much about dying. In fact, dying might be a bonus. More new information instantly!

yh: I’m still alive. It was a triumph!

cfgt: Strangely, I care more about other people’s probability of dying…

    “Tanah Merah

While the Byrne Harts originally hailed from England they had spent some years in Malaysia, and when they acquired property in this area they gave it a Malaysian name meaning red earth. After the Second World War the name came to be used of the area generally.”

Btw, next time? Sleep on the train.

Ever heard of “Stop, Revive, Survive”? If not, Australian marketing isn’t doing so well…

But I wasn’t tired anyways. And wait till you hear of our latest exploits (ask Alan :))

And oh, there is a Sarawak Avenue around too :)

I only had like… two hours of sleep last Saturday as i was out till the wee hours of the morning. Came back at 2am, stayed up till 4am, slept till 0630 then went on as usual with life.

Note: Don’t drink teh tarik at 0100-0200hours in the morning. That nasty shit keeps you awake.

doesn’t work on me. I sleep when I want to. Sleep is a function of want, not of need to me

    Yours or mine?

I drive very safely in Australia because everyone does it. There is no reason to drive unsafely here
